Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Make the customer a priority when approached and provide legendary customer service.
• Unload trucks according to the prescribed process for the store.
• Follow company work processes to receive, open and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves and build merchandise displays.
• Assemble merchandise (grills, lawn mowers, chairs, chain saws, wheelbarrows, fixtures and more).
• Breakdown cardboard and take out trash.
• Dust and mop store floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Help to maintain a clean, well-organized store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year experience stocking and working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work inside and occasionally outside(exposure to weather conditions).
• Ability to move and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment (e.g. pallet jack).
• Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
• Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders up to six feet.
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to complete your work assignments such as handheld scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, merchandise containers, two-wheel dollies, U-boats (six-wheel carts).
