Job Description

Shop Foreman, expert-level position; primary responsibilities include performing mechanical repairs, diagnostics, compile repair estimates and advising customers of vehicle maintenance & repair needs. Shop Foreman will provide mentorship to other techs in the service dept. Support Store Manager and perform manager's duties in manager's absence. Functions will include personnel supervision, purchasing and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties Include:

• Perform vehicle systems diagnostics. Provide consistent, reliable and accurate vehicle repair recommendations.
• Perform vehicle repairs, such as timing belts, head gaskets, intake manifolds, major and minor component replacements on vehicle A/C, ignition, electrical, emissions, exhaust, heating, cooling, engine, drive train, and other vehicle systems.
• Perform mechanical repair on vehicles as specified by the All-Data resource guide.
• Inspect vehicles using inspection forms, compile repair estimates, and communicate with customers to secure approval to perform repairs.
• Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.
• Safely operate all shop machinery.
• Provide mentorship to other techs in the service dept.
• Support the retail store manager.
• Perform store manager's duties in manager's absence.
• Purchasing of parts and supplies.
• Review and conduct inventory.
• Obtain orders using the company's point of sale and computer systems.
• Customer service and communication.
• Supervise employees.
• Enforce store policies and procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.

Shop Foreman, Assistant Store Manager Requirements:

· Must perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.

· Must have a valid driver's license; driving record must meet company's insurance requirements

· Position requires continuous standing, bending, lifting and ability to lift up to 50+ pounds

· The ability to work in a fast-paced customer service-oriented environment.

· Team- Player: Works well as a member of a group.

· Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well.

· Must pass a pre-employment background check/drug screen

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

· Lifting: Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.

· Standing for extended periods of time.

· Read tickets and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.

· Environment: Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.

· Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).

· Sense of sound (Alarms, horns and motorized equipment).

· PPE: Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
