Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior AI Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of AI behaviours and systems that elevate realism, challenge, and player engagement in our games. The AI in the studio’s game, praised for its realism, is a critical component, and you will play a key role in advancing these capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with AI designers and fellow AI engineers to develop AI behaviours and systems using C++ and Unreal Blueprints.
• Implemented and maintained AI algorithms in Unreal Engine, focusing on pathfinding, decision-making, and navigation.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, allowing for sophisticated behaviours and higher numbers of active NPCs.
• Design reactive and adaptive AI systems that create dynamic, engaging player experiences.
• Work closely with animation and character teams to ensure seamless integration of AI behaviours with character models and animations.
• Identify and resolve AI-related bugs and undesired behaviours during both the development and post-release phases.
• Observe player behaviours in playtests to identify opportunities for AI improvements.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++ programming.
• Experience with Unreal Engine development and understanding of visual scripting.
• Knowledge of behaviour trees and the principles of video game AI.
• Previous experience with multiplayer and networked game AI is advantageous.
• Affinity for tactical first-person shooters.
