Job Description:

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, the Senior Administrator supports the planning, organizing and coordination of administrative tasks for the DVS Expansion Unit, a Health and Hospital Corporation Initiative. You are part of an operational team expanding in-person and telehealth mental health services to 57 domestic violence shelters across NYC. You provide accurate workflow and procedural review for client assessment, referral processing and patient management. Acting as a service partner to shelter providers, clinical teams, and agency leads, you will plan, coordinate and evaluate quality assurance of the program. Additionally, you will supervise the Administrator for Bronx/Manhattan.

General tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • In partnership with the Clinical Manger and the clinical team, responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and evaluation of DVS program referral process.
  • Updating the Policy and Procedures to ensure best practices for the program; advising, training, and monitoring staff and providers on changes to program policies and procedures.
  • Submitting and monitoring all end of the month, quarterly and annual reports and data as required; submitting reports to supervisor and partner agencies as required.
  • Providing program information for grants and contracts as requested.
  • Overseeing the coordination of clinical services for clients impacted by domestic violence and transitioning from temporary to permanent housing.
  • Developing intake, assessment and service delivery protocols and procedures that ensure effective and swift engagement of clients.
  • Overseeing the referral and connection of children of clients to appropriate mental health and support services as requested.
  • Maintaining reports and administrative and clinical records in accordance with funding partner requirements; ensuring compliance with requirements and program policies.
  • Collecting, tracking and interpreting program data to facilitate continued performance improvement.
  • Serving as the primary liaison to the ExpressCare service coordination and delivery and partner with clinical team and provider to troubleshooting challenges, responding to urgent requests and advising on cases when appropriate.
  • Working closely with the Senior Director to support the facilitation of program expansion.
  • Providing direct supervision of the Administrator assigned to the shelter sites located in the Bronx and Manhattan; and providing coverage for the staff person as needed.
  • Participating in staff and Department-wide meetings as required.
  • Performing other related duties as required by the Senior Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

Educational and/or experience requirements will vary requiring diverse kinds and levels depending on the content, complexity and variety of project. Compensation levels will correspond to the requirements developed for the designated project.

In no event will the acceptable minimum be below:

1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in a specialization discipline consistent with project content; and,

2. Four years of substitutable and relevant health care experience related to the objectives of the project; or,

3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of experience, training and education.

Department Preferences

  • General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a health care facility, ability to assimilate and analyze data, to recommend action based on analytical findings, and assist in the solution of complex problems in health care administration and management.
  • Extensive experience in the field of domestic violence.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple staffing levels.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations and tight deadlines.
  • Spanish speaking
