Project Engineer – Furniture Manufacturing

Location: Chino, CA (On-site)

Position Overview

We’re seeking a Project Engineer with CAD expertise and furniture manufacturing experience to join our team. This role is critical in engineering custom upholstery solutions, managing projects from design through production, and acting as a key liaison between clients and our production team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with leadership and production teams to develop and refine furniture designs for both client presentations and production execution. Ensure efficiency without compromising Emblem’s high standards.
  • Serve as a central contact for customers during the design and production phases. Maintain project details in Airtable and participate in tracking meetings to ensure smooth execution.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with clients via email and phone, providing clear updates and support throughout the process.
  • Create layouts and 3D drawings for customers during the sales process and assist the leadership team with new product development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in custom upholstered furniture manufacturing. Preference for candidates with experience in fast-paced, custom production environments. Strong understanding of upholstery engineering and construction techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD and SketchUp required. Experience with project management tools is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy in technical drawings and project details.
