Pay: $21.50 - $26.50 (+$2 shift differential)

3rd shift: 11:00pm – 7:30am

Introduction:

Packaging Lead will supervise and lead the day-to-day activities of the production members, as well as promotes direction and business performance for the company. Responsibilities include training production associates and ensures production is fulfilled following specs, monitoring production drive to achieve key operational metrics, ensure staff meet standards to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction and quality. Note: This position is a working lead position, you will be doing work/assignments along with supervisory duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensures daily production needs are produced per the production schedule, SQF requirements, and within the determined scheduled hours.
  • Provide instruction and coaching to associates within a line(s) to ensure products are produced to company standards.
  • Monitors and reports any production issues immediately to the production Managers.
  • Performs tasks following safety guidelines and following specific processes and best practices for each task.
  • Fosters and promotes a safe and clean work environment following all company implemented safety standards.
  • Trains new team members on equipment, safety, and quality standards.
  • Ensures that the correct materials and supplies are set up on the line.
  • Ensure machines are in proper working order from production startup to shut down, call maintenance if equipment requires repair.
  • Will be required to work on machines and do jobs that will be supervising such as packaging, palletize, and processing using proctor roaster.

Job Requirements:

  • Lead experience, 1-2 years preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in food production, food processing or similar manufacturing setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in Horace, ND in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends or holidays required as production needs demand.
  • Dependable, reliable, and able to attend shift daily.
