Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Type: Full-time/ Perm-Position
Job Location: Rushville, Illinois
Pay Range: $80,000 - $105,000 Salary Per Year (Based on experience level)
Required Certifications: Registered with American Occupational Therapy Association, Graduate from approved school of Occupational Therapy, IL State Licensure, Current BCLS cert.
Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. The staff therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (OTA, Patient Care Assist., etc.), and participates in scheduling patients, as well as all other aspects of patient care within the Department. The OT participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in QA activities. Participates in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.
Education and Experience Requirements:
§ Graduate of an accredited nursing program; no experience necessary
§ Current license from the State of Illinois
§ Current BLS required (or obtained within 6 months of hire); ACLS preferred
Skills:
§ Knowledge of blood borne pathogens, universal precautions, hazardous chemicals and fire and safety policies and procedures
Work Environment:
§ Works in a well-lighted and ventilated office area, as well as throughout patient care areas.
§ Likely exposure with blood, body fluid, hazardous materials, radiation, and infectious diseases.
§ Must be able to work beyond traditional work hours on all shifts and on weekends and holidays as needed.

o Must be able to stand, sit, bend, walk and lift intermittently during work hours.
o Subject to frequent interruptions.
o Must be able cope with stressful and emotional patients, families, visitors and other personnel.
o Able to see, hear, and palpate or use prosthetics that will enable these senses.
o Must be in good health and demonstrate emotional stability.
