Location: Remote (Milford, OH)

Duration: 12+ Months contract (W2 only)

Job Overview

• We are looking for a skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team for a long-term project with our client.
• The ideal candidate should have advanced experience in firewall technologies, network automation, and cloud networking.
• This role involves executing firewall migrations and ensuring robust network security configurations.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• Advanced experience with Cisco ASA and FortiGate firewalls.
• Proficient in working with Cisco Catalyst Switches and FortiSwitches .
• Expertise in Wi-Fi technologies .
• Strong knowledge of IPv4 and IPv6 networking.
• Experience with IP Telephony/VoIP networks and SIP protocols .
• Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Networking .
• Familiarity with network automation for both cloud and physical infrastructures.
• Education Required: Bachelor's degree equivalent to Cybersecurity

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide firewall migration expertise for enterprise-grade networks.
• Develop comprehensive migration plans , including vendor selection, current state analysis, and transition strategies.
• Configure new firewall systems to mirror or enhance the functionality of the existing setup.
• Conduct rigorous testing of the new firewalls to verify functionality and security compliance.
• Execute the migration plan , including cutover procedures, and resolve any issues during the transition.
