Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Diesel Mechanic located in Indianapolis, IN. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth moving, and related construction equipment. Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits

Qualifications

• Inspects and runs diagnostics and performs repairs and scheduled maintenance on diesel/gasoline engines and other machinery
• Handles complex and major repairs on heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, bobcats and other company vehicles.
• Middle to advanced-level skilled Welder for all types of welding is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform field service calls with the highest quality and urgency in mind.
• Maintain good communication with manager on equipment repairs and parts needed to complete repairs.
• Ability to work in a team and willing to be trained and train others.
• Maintain good relationships with those you work with.
• Perform repairs at job sites as the needs arise.
• Vehicle Maintenance and Equipment Maintenance skills
• Diesel Mechanics expertise
• Experience working with Heavy Equipment
• Proficiency in Preventive Maintenance tasks
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Certification in diesel mechanics or related field is a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
