Role Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Jewelry Production Assistant to join our team. In this role you will play an integral part by managing daily vendor interactions, inventory control, and general administrative support for the department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Complete daily vendor visits to pick up and return diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry.
• Process and verify diamond returns, ensuring correct weight, inscriptions, and paperwork.
• Conduct weekly diamond inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Facilitate daily repair processing, including proper packaging and customer notifications.
• Process materials returns for proper crediting.
• Prepare and ship returns and repairs to vendors and designers.
• Answer phones and respond to customer service inquiries professionally.
• Assist in setting up the sales floor daily.
• Deliver jewelry to customers as needed.
• Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in jewelry production or a related field
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Basic knowledge of jewelry materials, tools, and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility and willingness to learn and adapt to new processes
• 1-2 years experience working in a similar support role
• Experience with jewelry repair and restoration is a plus
• Passionate about jewelry

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 5 pounds as needed.
• Manual dexterity to handle small items such as jewelry, gemstones, and packaging materials.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Visual acuity to inspect fine details of jewelry and gemstones.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Workdays & Hours:

• Monday – Friday: Core hours 9:30am – 6:00pm.
