Job Description

Our client, a luxury boutique hotel group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Group Sales Manager with a strong background in SMERF (Social, Military, Educational, Religious, Fraternal) market segment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent negotiation skills, and an in-depth understanding of the unique needs of SMERF clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new group sales opportunities within the SMERF segment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with SMERF clients, acting as their primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop, and implement effective sales strategies, and action plans to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Conduct site tours and presentations, showcasing property amenities and services to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the events and operations teams to ensure seamless client experiences, from planning through execution.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to stay competitive and maximize market share.
  • Prepare and manage sales, contracts, proposals, and other required documentation.
  • Provide accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline reports to the Director of Sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5+ years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on the SMERF segment.
  • Proven ability to exceed sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple project simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM software such as Ivvy or Delphi and MS Office Suite.
