Moby’s is seeking a General Manager for its upcoming season (and beyond!).
Moby’s is located in a charmingly restored property from the 1880s on a quaint stretch of Highway 27 that leads to Montauk, adapting to the times with extensive to-go offerings, outdoor and patio seating. Moby’s offers an Italian menu of wood-fired pizza, pasta, sides and salads, along with bottled cocktails and wine, offered for pick-up and dining.
Responsibilities include but not limited to :
-General Management of restaurant operations
-Responsibility of purchasing and receiving, inventory management within approved budgetary controls
-Development of all front of house service staff
-Develop initiatives to build sales, profitability and guest counts
-Controlling labor costs on a continual basis within approved budgetary controls
-Responsible for the training, evaluation and coordination of all front of house team members
-Responsible for control of food costs on a continual basis
-Providing all Employees with proper training and counseling as needed in accordance with Company Policies
-Ensure that sanitation standards as set forth by local, state & federal Health Department regulations are in compliance as well as the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment along with New York State Covid 19 legislature.
Requirements:
- Strong hospitality & service focus.
-Minimum of 3 years prior experience as a General Manager.
-Experience in building progressive and profitable beverage programs as well as create a major revenue center for the business.
-Understanding of P&Ls, proficiency in excel, word and other office products.
-Previous seasonal experience is preferred but not required.
