The Job

Our client is looking for passionate gamers to test and give feedback on forthcoming games created with HyperScale Engine technology. Experience with Games QA and Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) games is a plus but not required. This is a fully remote position, and requires access to a gaming PC with a good internet connection.

In this role you’ll be receiving the newest builds of games created with cutting-edge technology, including Edge of Chaos (a medieval combat MMO developed by MetaGravity) and other HyperScale Partner games. Tests will generally be run via the official MetaGravity Discord Server and focus on large-scale PvP and PvE combat. Experienced testers may also have the opportunity to try out unreleased games and game modes, and experience scaling and fidelity never before seen in multiplayer gaming.

Responsibilities

• Participation in online playtests during pre-designated times (these will be announced in advance and will last approximately 1-2 hours)
• Providing feedback on the testing experience via questionnaires
• More experienced testers may be invited to participate in tests of unreleased or experimental game features

The Profile

Requirements:

• Testers must have their own Windows PC with a strong, stable internet connection, which meets minimum specifications for modern online gaming. Our current recommendations are as follows:
• ‍OS: Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
• ‍‍‍CPU: AMD / Intel® Core™ i7-9400K or better
• ‍RAM: 8GB of system memory (16GB ideal)
• ‍Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or better
• ‍Storage: At least 50GB of available space; SSD preferred
• In addition to a valid email address, testers must have active Steam and Discord accounts, and be a member of the official MetaGravity Discord Server (join here).
• Tests generally take place during regular business hours for EU timezones (approximately 7:00-18:00 UTC, Monday-Friday), and testers should have some availability during these time windows.
• Testers must have a working knowledge of English and be able to communicate clearly in both spoken and written form.

And Ideally:

• Experience in Game QA, including bug reporting, creating and following test cases, and tracking fixes across successive game versions
• Experience with Massively Multiplayer Online games and MMO terminology
