Field Service Engineer - CNC Industry (Direct Hire)

Location: Remote (Seattle, Portland and surrounding areas preferred)

Compensation: $40/hr+ DOE (Overtime Eligible)

Overview:

This is a direct hire opportunity for a skilled professional to join a leading company in the CNC industry. The Field Service Engineer will play a critical role in setting up, troubleshooting, and maintaining CNC machines at customer sites.

Responsibilities:

• Setting up CNC machines at customer sites, including assembly, alignment, calibration, and wiring.
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues on-site.
• Communicating effectively with customers to resolve problems and diffuse challenging situations.
• Training customers on the basic operation of the machines.
• Proactively ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
• Staying updated on new machine models, features, and accessories as they are introduced.
• Completing reports in D365 documenting hours, installations, assessments, repairs, and parts installed.
• PLC Troubleshooting
• Book own travel for overnight jobs

Requirements:

• Must have a reliable vehicle.
• Must be willing to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight stays.
• Must have hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing machinery, including 5-axis CNC machines and PLC's (including complex logic.)
• 2+ years' experience of Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Robotic setup and repair.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• High school diploma required; additional education is flexible.
• Excellent mechanical/electrical aptitude and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check and Drug Screening required

Travel and Accommodations:

• Travel is required, up to 75% of the time, including some overnight stays.
• The company will cover all gas and road-related expenses.
• If travel exceeds 2.5 hours, overnight stays will be provided, including hotel accommodations.
