About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse) to oversee our home healthcare services. This part-time position will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Virginia Department of Health (VDH) Home Care Organization (HCO) licensure requirements and maintaining high-quality care standards. Operations are set to begin in the second half of 2025 in Northern Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage nursing services to ensure compliance with state regulations, CDC, and OSHA guidelines.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for patients.
Coordinate client care services, including case assignments and ongoing management.
Act as a backup for the Chief Administrator in key administrative functions.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Ensure staff adherence to professional standards and provide high-quality home care services.
Establish and implement policies and procedures for client care, infection control, and safety.
Conduct and participate in quality assurance programs to enhance services and patient outcomes.
Provide orientation and ongoing education opportunities for staff.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia (must be in good standing).
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience as an RN in a licensed home health agency or similar setting.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations governing home healthcare.
Experience in patient care, medication administration, and care plan development.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
Familiarity with healthcare technology or digital health platforms is a plus.
Availability during business hours or ability to designate a qualified RN in your absence.
Position Details:
Job Type: Part-Time (initial short-term contract with potential for extension).
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (primarily remote with occasional on-site responsibilities in Northern Virginia).
Compensation: Based on experience.
