Responsibilities

• Develops and manages new commercial loan business in the assigned market
• Retains and strengthens current relationships and seeks to develop new business through various channels such as cross-sales and working internal and external referral sources
• Analyzes applicant’s credit history and loan repayment capability
• Negotiates credit terms such as loan repayment methods and collateral specifications
• Develops and maintains interest rate structure consistent with bank policies and procedures and competitive with current market rates
• Evaluates potential client loan requests
• Keeps documentation exceptions to a minimum
• Maintains a diligent collection effort in order to keep past dues at an acceptable level
• Actively participates in local business and community events
• Attends team and bank meetings as scheduled
• Adheres to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance or related field or equivalent experience
• Five years’ previous commercial lending experience
• Proven track record of managing relationships and developing new business
• Knowledge of lending policies, procedures and regulations
• Strong financial analysis abilities, solid credit administration skills, excellent communication skills and sales ability a must
• Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours
