Are you passionate about making a difference in healthcare? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join a dynamic remote team supporting a new virtual patient care program. In this role, you will play a key part in helping patients with vital checks, blood pressure assessments, and providing proactive phone support to ensure a smooth and supportive experience. You'll work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) to escalate any concerns and ensure accurate documentation of all patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle inbound calls to assess patient needs and guide them on the next steps.
Assist patients with virtual vital checks and blood pressure assessments.
Provide real-time support over the phone, helping patients through the intake process.
Proactively manage patient care from initial outreach through to resolution.
Escalate cases with abnormal or elevated results to RNs for further evaluation.
Document all patient interactions accurately using Salesforce scripts and EHR macros.
Index patient cases based on blood pressure readings for follow-up and prioritization of callbacks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (experience in a remote role is a plus).
Certification as a Medical Assistant (AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, NRCMA).
High school diploma or equivalent (higher education is a plus).
Experience with high call volumes and patient interaction.
Familiarity with using EMR systems.
Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new platforms and tools such as Slack and Google Suite.
Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Athena EMR and Salesforce (or similar documentation platforms).
1+ years of experience in telehealth or phone-based patient care.
Bilingual in Spanish.
