**Job Title: Repair and Refurbishment Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Repair and Refurbishment Technician to join our team, specializing in the repair and refurbishment of modules primarily used in school and business offices. This role requires a proactive individual who can work safely and independently in a fast-paced environment. **Responsibilities** + Utilize hand and power tools effectively. + Maintain cleanliness of the shop and trailers, including floors, walls, counters, and surfaces. + Assist and train in various service duties to support the service team and refurbishment processes. + Inspect electrical systems and perform basic wiring tasks. + Scrape and seal roofs as necessary. + Clean windows, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and doors thoroughly. + Perform carpentry repairs on floors, walls, roofing, siding, windows, and fixtures. + Maintain a clean working area both inside and outside, including lawn, parking lot, and building. + Conduct regular inventory checks and place orders as needed. + Participate in regular safety meetings with a safety-first mindset. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work independently. + Proficiency in using hand and power tools. + Carpentry knowledge. + Basic computer skills. + Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. + Experience in carpentry, plumbing, minor electrical work, and HVAC. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and welding is a plus. + Experience operating a floor buffer. + Must possess own basic hand tools, such as hammer, screwdrivers, wrench set, and tape measure. **Why Work Here?** This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance. After 18 months, there may be opportunities to relocate to the Santa Fe Springs site. We value flexibility, growth, and a supportive work environment. **Work Environment** Work will be conducted both inside the shop and outside in the yard, subject to weather conditions which can be hot or cold. Hours are 6am to 2:30pm, with two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Summer hours may start at 5am to 1:30pm. Flexibility with hours is appreciated. The dress code includes steel toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt. Safety gear such as glasses and gloves will be provided by the company. Steel-toed boots, a tool bag, and basic hand/power tools are required. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
