Job Description

Tired of being put through the grinder of a typical shop? Come to work for a company that appreciates you for who you are and doesn’t see you as another number.

Founded in 2017, ClearShift set out to change the car buying experience and chart a new path in the automotive industry. And it’s working. The only way we are a part of the automotive industry is that our business deals in cars. We are in the people business.

We’re experiencing tremendous growth; and looking to expand the best team we’ve ever been a part of, in an effort to better serve the people that we get to connect with on a daily basis.

What will an Automotive Master Technician do?

  • Perform a wide range of automotive repairs on all makes & models – new & old, with an emphasis on oil changes, mounting tires, and basic repairs.
  • Review TSB’s and other service recommendations and translate to customer needs.
  • Able to diagnose & honestly assess vehicles and build an estimate of necessary repairs for most makes and models.
  • Maintain professionalism.
  • Keep the shop in clean, working order.
  • Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy inspections
  • Quickly and efficiently perform routine maintenance and service, and identify the cause of defects, and trouble-shoot and repair them using the most optimal solutions and efficiency.
  • Conferring with Reconditioning Manager and Chief Operations Officer to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems and discussing work to be performed.
  • Assist other technicians with their skills, providing technical support when needed and monitoring performance and productivity.
  • Make sure to completely note repairs and concerns though the dealership system.
  • Test and adjust required systems to meet manufacturers’ performance specifications.
  • Ensure that the shop is in excellent condition with regard to cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition, and conduct periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service.
  • Test-drive vehicles; testing components and systems; using equipment such as compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.

What makes someone a great fit for the role?

  • At least two years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
  • ASE certification a plus
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Team-oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
  • Computer and smartphone skills.

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive compensation package, up to $120,000+ (based on experience)
  • Up to $10,000 signing bonus (based on experience)
  • Health Insurance
  • Growth potential
  • Strong team positive company culture

What makes our team different? Our team is rooted in service. Having a heart for service is the core of our success and the success of our team and company grows from that base. Our customers come to us because they want to buy a car, we don’t need to sell them a car. The goal is to move customers from wanting to buy a car to driving away in a new car as simple and seamless as possible.

Our team works alongside the owners and leaders that built the company daily. Nobody is ever asked to do something that the owners and leaders would not or have not done themselves. The voice and opinions of our team are heard and matter daily.

Caution: We run hard and fast....if something isn't working we change it quickly. Flexibility is our most rigid policy.

Be a part of moving this company to the next level.
